Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral

Religious

Project Summary

This beautiful Byzantine landmark is located at the site of Columbia’s well-known Greek Festival, in downtown Columbia. The technically challenging project required a highly collaborative program, coordinating with west-coast design & engineering partners, to successfully navigate numerous constructibility concepts.

The new worship center boasts traditional Greek Orthodox design, with its gold-finished dome, rising 65 feet above Main Street. The building is 10,000 square feet, with seating for approximately 550 members, and includes features such as standing-seam metal roofs, multiple domes, numerous radius-designed interior walls, a blended masonry and stucco exterior, detailed mechanical & lighting systems, and an adjoining chapel. Our team also assisted the church with specialized installation logistics for the beautiful customized biblical artwork finishes, provided by a highly-talented University of Greece Iconographer.
