Amanda Harter
Project Manager

Amanda is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS in Civil Engineering. She commands strengths in AutoCAD, as well as estimating and scheduling software and has worked on a variety of project types, including those in the hospitality and restaurant, commercial office, historic restoration, higher educational, and religious sectors. Amanda’s approachable attitude and excellent communication skills make her the ideal Project Manager for a variety of projects with a wide range of complexities. Detail-oriented with a focus on building projects the right way, Amanda also leads Hood Construction’s in-house Quality Assurance program, Fresh Eyes.
Highly active in the community, Amanda currently serves on the Young Professional Auxiliary Board of Junior Achievement Columbia and the SC Building Codes Council. She has also served on the board of the National Association of Women in Construction Columbia and is currently an active member of the chapter. In 2021, Amanda was named NAWIC Member of the Year for the South Atlantic Region, selected from members in 12 chapters throughout NC, SC, and VA. Additionally, she was named to Columbia Business Monthly’s Best and Brightest 35 & Under 2021 list, which recognizes rising stars in the Midlands’ professional community. Amanda, her husband, and daughter reside in Lexington, SC and on the weekends enjoy cheering on the Gamecocks and spending time with family.
