Dwight is a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Building Science. Immediately after graduation, he began his career in the construction industry working with Bagnal Builders, a residential and light commercial firm, as an estimator. From there, Dwight moved to Patrick Construction as an Estimator and Project Manager on light commercial projects, before transitioning back to Bagnal Builders as Vice President where he worked for seven more years before opening his own company, Williams Custom Builders. Specializing in high-end residential projects, Dwight was responsible for the construction of custom homes up to 10,000 SF, and also completed numerous specialty additions and renovations. He has worked with a wide variety of clientele, and is adept in working with numerous architects, interior designers, and owners, with the highest expectations of quality.
After owning and operating his own firm for 24 years, Dwight came on board with Hood as a Pre-Construction Manager. In this role, Dwight assists the Project Management teams on the budgeting and value analysis for an array of project types. His diverse experience in the industry gives him unique project insights, and he is accustomed to the strict customer needs that must be met or exceeded on each Hood project.
Dwight is active in the community, having served on numerous committees within his church, Shandon Baptist. These include previously serving as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and Building Committee Chair during both the church’s relocation and the new construction of their worship center. In his free time, Dwight enjoys watching the Clemson Tigers with his wife, Julie, his two children, and six grandchildren.
