Team

As Assistant Estimator, Houston works closely with Hood Construction’s pre-construction team to ensure all project budget goals are met. Prior to joining Hood, Houston attended Clemson University and received his B.S. in Business Management. While at Clemson, Houston spent each summer as an intern at Hood, assisting our project team both on-site and in office. Throughout his experience, he’s gained valuable insight into Hood’s pricing on various project sizes by working alongside Hood’s lead estimators and learning from their decades of time spent in the industry. As part of the pre-construction team, Houston assists with creating estimates, cost presentations, and scope sheets as well as keeping in communication with our subcontractors and clients to deliver all budget requirements.

A Columbia native, Houston spends his summers on the coast competing in the Governor’s Cup Billfishing tournament series. When he’s not on the water, he’s rooting on the Clemson Tigers’ football and baseball teams.
